UK House Price Index: average prices
Average price is a mean for the area produced by a hedonic regression on Land Registry sales, not the median and not an asking price. Sales are recorded when they are registered, so recent months are revised for several releases as registrations complete. The file covers 405 areas; Civometry stores the 332 whose ONS codes it can place, and the rest are counties and metropolitan counties, a tier this site does not model.
