Historical crime data: recorded crime 1898 to 2001/02
"A summary of recorded crime data from 1898 to 2001/02", one sheet, offences recorded by the police in England and Wales by Home Office offence classification with group totals. Calendar years to 1997, then years ending March from 1997/98. 1998/99 is published on both the old and the new counting rules; the series carries the new-rules figure. The file's own notes record the 1 April 1998 counting-rules change and the 1 April 2002 National Crime Recording Standard.
