Recorded Crime in Scotland: bulletin tables

The annual bulletin's tables workbook. Tables 1 to 4 are published at council area as well as Scotland level: Table 1 is crimes recorded by the police by crime group and crime type, Table 4 the same crimes and offences per 10,000 population using the National Records of Scotland mid-year estimates. Ten financial years run across the columns, and the two right-hand columns are percentage changes the publisher calculates, which are not read as periods here. The workbook's introduction defines the symbols it prints in place of a figure — n/l, x, z, low and n/r — and each is skipped rather than read as a zero. Quarterly editions of the same bulletin (year ending June, September, December) are published in between; this source carries the annual one.
