Components of population change by local authority (ONS mid-year estimates, sheet MYE3)

The same workbook as ons_mid_year_population, read at a different sheet: MYE4 holds the population time series and MYE3 the year's components of change — births, deaths, internal migration in and out, international migration in and out, and a residual the ONS calls "Other". Each sheet is registered as its own source so that one ingest reads one sheet with one reader. MYE3 covers one year per edition, from mid-year to mid-year, for England and Wales, the two countries, the regions and every local authority; counties and metropolitan counties are also printed and are skipped here, because their districts are stored and keeping both would count the same people twice. Published on 2023 local authority boundaries, so Barnsley and Sheffield are recoded to their April 2025 codes. Scotland's and Northern Ireland's components are published by National Records of Scotland and NISRA respectively and are not in this file.
