The number of asylum seekers in receipt of Home Office support (Section 95, Section 4 or Section 98) in each council area at the end of the quarter, from the Home Office's asylum support local authority dataset. Placement is decided by the Home Office and its contractors, not the council.

Denominator
ONS mid-year resident population estimate for the area, used only by the per-1,000 measure. Percentiles rank the councils with a value for the newest quarter; councils with no supported asylum seekers have no row and are not ranked.
