ONS · Census 2021 (21 March 2021) · Local authority

Born in the Middle East or Asia by local authority

Usual residents by where they were born, from the Census of England and Wales, 2021 (TS004) and 2011 (KS204), official categories only. Country of birth is not nationality: it does not change, and someone born abroad may be a British citizen.

What this does not measure

Only "born in the United Kingdom" carries a 2011 equivalent: the two censuses group the rest of the world differently, so the other categories have no 2011 or change page rather than a mapped-together one (§20).
